Week 2..

"Be Stupid!
And break the rules.."

I've got those words from yesterday's creative thinking lesson. Sometimes, being stupid is really a choice to create something different or to invent what's out of the box. Because actually, we're born to be different. To be stupid is to make a history, to be memorable.
And here are the pictures that's made me amazed for their braveness and creativity, to break what's built.

This beautiful yet dangerous photo has taken by Dane Shitagi. Dane Shitagi is a NYC based photographer. Originally from Honolulu, he followed his instincts to live the photographic life. Taking inspiration from the sights and sounds of “the city” as well as the energy and diverse arts, Dane has formed a unique and heartfelt body of work that is sooo beautiful and personal. Rather than molding his ideas to the studio set, he has taken his creativity and inspiration from the world outside. This is one of his inspiring pictures, he plays with the black and white colour, and the ballerina as the object. But what makes it unusual is the setting(place). I was wondering why he chose the train station as the setting. And it reflects his "risk taker" personality. If you can see the train is coming from that small corridor side, but he's still using the lights of the train as the lighting from his photograph, to make it still alive. I think his mission has been accomplished, and made all the viewers remember his photos and his name. And for the bonus, his followers are filling up his accounts, always.

This acrylic on canvas 36x36 inches picture, made by Kevin T Williams, in the earlier 2012. This series called "break the rules" simply because the artist used Richard Pryor (December 1, 1940 – December 10, 2005as the main object to be captured on. As we know, that Richard Pryor is was a stand up comedian, and he's quite famous at that year. And when the artist finished this art on canvas, Richard Pryor has passed away many years before. And the information un-litteraly told us that he made it without any permission and contract as it's supposed to be. And its really valuable for him, as he sold it for $1.350.

This photo was taken by an unknown photographer. When i saw this photo at first, i was thinking over limits. I thought about what was on his mind and what's made he dares to break something by asking people to helped him, the stood right in front of the walls, then "braakkk!!!" "ckrriikkk!!" . Taking photos and breaking the wall at the same time. Its really break the rules because it tells the meaning and the purpose from the artist through the photo. Break through barriers, and what is original, brilliant, provocative, controversial, and/or authentic about you and your work has a chance to shine. And this shocking photo will be absolutely unforgotten.

Today i found this cute caricature picture when i surfed to the internet and decided to use it as my 4th photo for this week two blog. This picture grabbed my attention just like that. And its not because the caricature style, but its because the artist's , Abdul Salim(2010) idea. He chose Barack Obama as the caricature cartoon, and i'm sure he knew exactly who is that number one man in States. He did it with the adobe illustrator, and for me it breaks the rule enough. Without any permission, he made Barack Obama's funny face and  published it in social networks to earn money.
